Products and orders in the chat
Share products from your catalog into a conversation, see a customer's orders beside the thread, capture an order from what they asked for, and get it paid.
On this page
Most chat sales go the same way: the customer asks what you have, picks something, and asks how to pay. Juno keeps each of those steps inside the conversation — your catalog is one click from the reply box, and the customer's orders sit in the panel beside the thread.
Your catalog
Everything you can share or sell in a chat lives in Catalog. Items get there in one of two ways:
- Added by hand. Choose Add product and fill in the name, price, currency, an optional SKU, image link and description. Turn on Track stock if you want Juno to count stock down as orders are paid. Only items marked Active (visible to AI and product shares) can be shared or quoted by the AI.
- Synced from Shopify. If you connected a Shopify store, its products appear here on their own, marked Edit in Shopify. Change those in Shopify, not in Juno.
Keep prices current. When the AI assistant quotes a price or drafts an order, it takes the price from the catalog, never from its own guess — so a stale price here is a stale price in the chat.
Share products into a conversation
- Open the conversation in the Inbox.
- In the reply box, choose the + button — Share product.
- Tick the items you want and choose Share — the button shows how many you picked.
On WhatsApp, up to ten items go out as a tappable list with a View products button, each row showing the name, price and description. More than ten items, or a channel without tappable lists, gets a plain text list instead.
The words around your products — the list's intro and button, the "pay here" line with a payment link, the cash-on-delivery confirmation and its buttons — are written in your Workspace language (Settings), so a Chinese-speaking business sends them in Chinese. Product names and descriptions go out exactly as they are in your catalog.
When the customer taps an item in the list, Juno adds it to a draft order for them and leaves you a note in the thread saying what they picked. You do not have to retype their choice.
See a customer's orders
The right-hand panel of the inbox has an Orders tab. It lists the orders for the contact you are talking to — total, status, and whether it is cash on delivery — so "did my order go through?" is a glance rather than a search.
If the customer has told you they paid — "paid, ref 12345" — Juno spots it and marks the order Payment reported — verify? so it does not get lost in the thread.
Capture an order from the chat
When the customer's last message names items from your catalog, the Orders tab offers a Capture from chat button with what it found. Choose it and Juno creates a draft order with those lines. It never does this on its own — a person decides.
For anything more involved — several lines, a different quantity, choosing how they pay — go to Orders in the navigation and use Capture order. There you can Add line, pick the payment method (Gateway link, Cash on delivery or Bank transfer), attach a payment proof and Save order.
Get it paid
What you do next depends on how the customer pays.
| How they pay | What you do |
|---|---|
| Online | Choose Send payment link on the order. Juno sends the link into the conversation. When the customer pays, the order is marked paid automatically. |
| Bank transfer | When the proof arrives, check it against your bank, then choose Verify on the order. |
| Cash on delivery | Choose Request COD confirmation to have the customer confirm the order. After delivery, Mark delivered & paid records the cash. |
Send payment link needs a payment gateway enabled for your workspace. If the button is greyed out with No payment gateway is configured, online payment is not set up for you yet — use bank transfer or cash on delivery, or contact us.
Only verified, paid orders count as revenue. A draft is a note of intent, and nothing more.
Letting the AI help
The AI assistant can do some of this for you, but only what you switch on, under AI agent → Actions:
- Commerce context lets it see the customer's recent orders and your catalog when it replies, so "where is my order #1042?" gets an answer from your records instead of a guess.
- Send payment link and Capture order draft are separate switches, and both are off until you turn them on. An order the AI drafts is marked as AI-inferred and does not count as revenue until someone on your team confirms it.
If you sell through Shopify
While a Shopify store is connected, orders and payment go through Shopify checkout. Juno does not create its own orders, send its own payment links or take cash-on-delivery orders for that workspace, and the AI's payment and order-capture actions are switched off. You still see the customer's Shopify orders, can share products, and the AI can still answer order questions from them. The inbox Orders tab says so in one line at the top and lists the orders without the payment and order buttons.
