Plans, usage and credits
What a plan includes, how usage is measured, what happens when you reach an allowance, and how Juno's billing relates to what Meta charges.
On this page
Billing & usage shows the current plan, what has been used this period, and where the ceilings are.

Two bills, not one
Juno's subscription is separate from what Meta charges for messages. The plan below buys the software — the inbox, the AI assistant, automation, reporting. Meta bills separately, per message, at its own rates: see how WhatsApp charges.
Confusing the two leads to the same wrong conclusion every time — that support conversations are expensive. On Meta's side they are not: a reply inside the 24-hour window is a service message, and Meta does not charge for those today. Juno still counts it against the plan's message allowance, because the platform carried it either way.
What is measured
| Meter | What counts | What does not |
|---|---|---|
| Conversations | Distinct customer conversations handled in the period | Reopening an old thread with the same customer in the same period |
| WhatsApp messages | Messages sent and received through the platform | Internal notes |
| AI tokens | What the assistant reads and writes | A conversation nobody asked the assistant about |
| Seats | Active members who can sign in | Disabled members, pending invites |
The usage bars fill as the period runs and reset at renewal. The date the period started is shown above them, because "this month" and "this billing period" are rarely the same days.
When you reach an allowance
Reaching an allowance is not a cut-off for your customers: a customer messaging you always reaches you.
- Incoming messages are never refused. A customer who writes to you always reaches your inbox.
- Past the conversation allowance, the AI stops replying and new conversations go to your team.
- Past the WhatsApp message allowance, messages your team or a broadcast starts are refused until the next period or an upgrade.
- AI tokens are the exception, because they cost real money per use: once the plan's allowance is spent, the assistant draws on token credits.
Token credits
Credits are prepaid AI usage, bought in packs, spent only after the plan's included tokens are gone. They do not expire at renewal — an unused pack carries forward.
Buy them if the assistant is doing real work: a busy month, a launch, a season. If the balance is zero and the plan allowance is spent, the assistant stops generating and conversations fall to your team — which is a degradation, not an outage, and is the right way round.
Changing plan
Changing takes effect immediately and is prorated. Two rules worth knowing before you downgrade:
- Seats cap how many people you can invite. On a smaller plan, nobody new can be invited until the team fits within its seat count.
- Channels are not. A connected channel keeps working across a plan change.
Reading the screen honestly
The bar that matters is usually seats, not messages. Message allowances are generous relative to what a small team can physically handle, and the plan people actually outgrow is the one that ran out of people.
